Who Are We?
Tipping Point 01545 is a volunteer group of Shrewsbury residents who care about climate change and the environment. Through our combined efforts, Shrewsbury residents, businesses and Town government can reduce our climate and environmental impact in order to thrive in a sustainable future.
Mission:
To inspire Shrewsbury residents, businesses and Town government to sustainable action through local, community engagement.
Goals:
- Promote clean energy initiatives by creating and highlighting educational resources, sponsoring community events, directing people to rebates and incentives, and supporting clean energy workforce development opportunities
- Spark community engagement in climate solutions to help ensure equitable outcomes for all Shrewsbury residents, including students, senior citizens, renters, homeowners, low and middle income residents, Environmental Justice groups, and non-English speakers
- Protect Shrewsbury’s natural resources and create new Green infrastructure to reduce Shrewsbury’s environmental burden, decrease greenhouse gases, improve our quality of life, and save money
- Foster environmental optimism by sharing successes, demonstrating compassionate practices, and raising awareness of eco-anxiety resources
